The "Albanian Women's Benefit Association" (AWBA) was founded in March 1993 as a humanitarian, non-political, non-denominational, non-profit organization to fight for the protection of women's, children's, youth's, and communities' rights. AWBA believes in the principles of support and advocates for human rights, gender equality, and social progress. It aims to have an important role in civic decision-making processes and works for the implementation of these principles.

What we do

We fight for whats right!

We help 4 women each year who are escaping situations of violence, poverty, and discrimination. These women often have a history of severe violence, are heads of households, or belong to vulnerable communities. Through the collection of a symbolic fund, we assist these women in paying for:


A rental home (through bank donations)
Supporting children with education, food, and clothing (purchasing school books)
Providing training in various fields to help these women strengthen their economic status.
Empowering Youth Leadership
We select 2 promising young individuals each year to train in leadership in the fields of civil, human rights, or women's rights sectors, through a highly demanded profession in the market. We aim to create a fund that will select young individuals who meet specific criteria, such as coming from impoverished families without the opportunity to attend school.
